Terms & Conditions

Welcome to sPoneja Oy's ("we", "us", "our") GoMeter platform. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our mobile application GoMeter and sponeja.com and associated services ("Apps"). By using any of our Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Description of Service

GoMeter is a digital mileage tracker and taxi meter app which uses GPS for distance and time calculations that allows drivers to track distance and /or calculate fares, generate receipts, and optionally connect to dispatch or payment services. The App may also provide administrative tools for fleet operators or business users.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of any data you enter into the App.
  • You must comply with local laws and transport regulations applicable in your area.
  • You must not use the App for illegal activities, fraud, or deception.
  • You agree to notify us of any unauthorized use or security breach.

4. Account and Access

Some features may require account registration and paid subscription. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

5. License and Intellectual Property

  • We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Apps for your personal or professional taxi metering needs.
  • All content, software, trademarks, and data within the App remain the property of sPoneja Oy or its licensors.
  • You may not reverse-engineer, copy, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

6. Payments and Billing

If you use features that require payment (e.g. in-app purchases, device integration, or premium services), you agree to provide accurate billing information and pay all applicable charges. All sales are final unless otherwise specified in writing.

7. Data Collection and Privacy

By using our App, you agree to our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data in accordance with the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data.

8. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • Use or inability to use the App
  • Incorrect fare calculations
  • Loss of data or business opportunity
  • Delays, bugs, or performance issues

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, engage in harmful behavior, or if continued use poses a legal risk to us or others.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be notified through the App or our website. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (e.g. mapping, payment gateways, printers). We are not responsible for the terms, policies, or performance of such third-party services.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland.
